Jon Atherly

Born in Santa Monica, California in 1955; one of seven children. Raised in Santa Monica; graduated from Santa Monica High school and Santa Monica College. Moved to Northridge, worked for McMahan’s Furniture while putting myself thru Cal State Northridge. Continued my career with McMahan’s furniture as a store manager In Glendale, Canoga Park and Canyon Country. I was promoted to be Supervisor of 13 stores and a warehouse in the San Fernando Valley. Moved to Valencia and got married to my awesome wife Roslyn and we have 5 kids together. Transferred to Bakersfield in 1990 as Supervisor for McMahan’s. McMahan’s was purchased by Heilig-Meyers Furniture and I worked for them as a store manager of the Valley Plaza Store until they went out of business. I opened Westside Furniture in 2003 and have been here for 19 years. I work with my son Stephen and my brother-in-law Ramon along with Luke and Elijah. My interests are golfing, fishing, working around the house and renewing by past interest in stained glass window designs.
